So you want to try making popcorn on the stove to avoid the chemicals in microwave bags....but every time you try to do it you burn the popcorn. Well, not anymore!

 3 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  cup Popcorn Kernels
 2 tbsp Clarified Butter or Ghee
 Popcorn salt; to tasteMake your own popcorn salt by putting salt into a blender and blitzing it until it becomes a powder

Melt butter in microwave before starting.

Place a tall 3qt sauce pan over medium heat. Add oil and 3-4 popcorn kernels.

Wait for the kernels to pop. Add the remaining kernels. Shake the pan, so they are in an even layer.

Cover the pot. REMOVE FROM HEAT. Wait 30 seconds.

Keep covered. Return to medium heat. Once popping starts begin shaking the pan. You may want to use ovenmits to help keep the lid on.

Once popping slows to more than 1 second between pops. Remove from heat. Add butter and salt or whatever seasonings you want to experiment with and toss to coat.

Transfer to a bowl and enjoy!!
