A favorite here in Bear Kitchen and some real comfort food!

Yields6 Servings
 1 Can Pillsbury Biscuits
 1 lb Jimmy Dean Sausage
 1 tbsp Ground Sage (Fresh)
 1 tsp Brown Sugar
 ½ tsp Black Pepper
  tsp Red Pepper Flakes
 3 tbsp Butter
 ¼ cup Flour
 3 cups Milk
Making Your Sausage

Crumble sausage in 4.5qt pot.

As it browns, add chopped sage. (Jimmy Dean makes a sage sausage if you want to buy that and skip this step)

Add the brown sugar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (Use less or eliminate if you can't handle heat).

**Don't drain the sausage**

Add 3 butter to the pot and stir until completely melted.

Sprinkle in the flour while stirring. Allow to cook for a few minutes to remove the raw flour taste.

Add milk 1 cup at a time. Stirring in between each cup.

Allow gravy to thicken uncovered over medium heat for 5-10 minutes. Stirring and scraping the bottom to keep the flour from burning to the bottom.

Biscuits

Follow directions on the can.

A couple minutes before biscuits are done, spread some butter or spray on top.

Time to Eat!

Split the biscuit in half and serve the sausage gravy on top.
