Just as good as the store bought stuff, but it makes your house smell like Micheal's in the process!!
Quarter apples and oranges. Add to large stockpot.
Measure out spices. Add to the stock pot.
Cover fruit and spices with 20 cups of water.
Bring to a boil.
Turn heat down to the lowest setting, cover, and simmer for 2 hours. Stirring occasionally.
Mash fruit with potato masher or wooden spoon. Simmer for another hour.
Scoop out solids, and use fine-mesh sieve to strain the rest of the pulp.
Stir in maple syrup to taste.
Serve hot or cold. Store in the fridge or freeze.
